Maoist Bag Two Gulmi Seats

The CPN (Maoist) has bagged two of the three seats of Gulmi districts. According to an announcement by the district election office, Maoist candidate Sucarshan Baral Magar won from constituency 1, bagging 14,162 votes. His nearest rivals Subarna Jwarchan of Nepali Congress secured 9,701 and Maina Bhandari of CPN UMl got only 9066 votes.
In constituency 2 Pradip Gyawali of CPN UML won the constituent Assembly seat with 20,327 votes against his nearest rival Chandra Bhandari of Nepali Congress who secured 19581 votes. Maoist candidate Nim Bahadur Pandey got only 6,734. YCL Valley Incharge Chandra Thapa Magar "Sagar" netted 16,581 votes from constituency 3 while his rival Gukarna Bista of CPN UML secured 14,543 votes.
After winning the election Pradip Gyawali said he would work for making a new Nepal. He said he would do his best to implement the agendas raised by his party through the election menifesto. Similarly Chandra Bahadur Thapa " Sagar" said his party would address the agenda of the youths. "We are here because of the youths", Sagar said adding that the youths would be mobilised for the development of the nation. The election office has already given certificates of recognition to the three victorious candidates.
