CPN-Maoist cadres have thrashed three activists of CPN-UML at Purtighat VDC of Gulmi following their abduction after a row over a land belonging to a local temple.Maoist cadres thrashed principal of a school in Khadgakot VDC Krishna Gyawali, Youth Force president Krishna Subedi and UML activist Nandi Dhakal after abducting them from Ghumaune of Purtighat while they were returning from a police post in Purtighat following talks over the land row, UML's secretary Kamal Shrestha said. They were rescued by policemen deployed from Purtighat. The police said the injured were being taken to district headquarters Tamghas for treatment this morning.
