KATHMANDU: Ridi-Rudrabeni road stretch in Gulmi district that had been blocked by rains-triggered landslides is said to resume form Saturday.

“The local administration has started to clear the roadblocks and it will complete by tomorrow,” said inspector Binima Dev Paudel of Area Police Office, Ridi.

Since there are a few number of dozers, the work of roadblocks clearance has been delayed.

Ridi-Rudrabeni road stretch had been blocked by the landslide that occurred at two different places – at Sangure and Satmure – under Gwadi and Ruru VDCs due to incessant rains on Wednesday night.

Thousands of commuters have been left in lurch due to the road block along the Ride-Rudrabeni road section since Wednesday night.
